Murmur is a feat of a novel, so huge in scope and meaning, there was something to unveil in every chapter, a need to ponder every word and understand why it was there; because of it, its likely one of those books that deserves the difficult read stamp but, that, in my humble opinion, those are usually the books that bare fruit in the end/5().

The novel Murmur is a truly unique novel that explores the Murmur book mind and consciousness in the event of uneventful and shocking event based on pure scientific logic. The novel itself explores the psychological and physical affects towards the event of arrest and forceful chemical castration of Alec Pryor who is based on the famous Alan Turing/5(14).

“Murmur by Will Eaves is a really extraordinary book, unlike any other. He’s in a class of his own.” He’s in a class of his own.” ― Max Porter, author of Grief Is the Thing with Feathers/5(14).

Murmur, Laura Mullens fifth book, melds forma fragmentary dance between prose and versewith contenta sprawling meditation on authorship, readership, genre expectations, and murder. The central conceit of the work is the detective story, which Mullen is at pains to undermine/5. “At this uncertain cultural moment arrives Will Eaves’s remarkable new novel Murmur – a novel of both science and subjective consciousness, painfully aware of the shortcomings of the act of narration Murmur’s transgressive power lies at the level both of language and of structure.

Murmur is based on Turing’s experience during the period of his punishment for gross indecency, when he went to hospital weekly and quietly submitted himself .
